Bus and Zero Emissions Consultant

The Bus and Zero Emissions Consultant will support transportation initiatives focusing on vehicle electrification and hydrogen technology, assisting clients in developing infrastructure and vehicle plans for transitioning to zero emissions technologies. Responsibilities Support projects related to transitioning fleets or infrastructure to zero emissions technologies Provide technical expertise to support cross-discipline project teams planning, designing and implementing rail, bus and paratransit solutions for our clients Design infrastructure such as fire detection/mitigation systems, charging systems, hydrogen fueling stations, and maintenance facilities to support zero emissions fleets Work with utilities to assess the impacts of electrifying large fleets Complete bolthires estimates associated with zero emissions transitions Develop bus and rail vehicle operational plans and related project elements including vehicle performance analysis and maintenance infrastructure plans Develop specifications and commercial terms for new vehicle and infrastructure procurements Develop bolthires estimates and life cycle analyses to assess existing bus operations Conduct fleet assessment and transition studies Review technical documents such as design plans and other engineering related deliverables Produce quality assurance plans and oversee quality control programs Prepare technical documents/reports and present to clients, project teams, etc Develop and maintain productive working relationships Continuous, effective communication and relationship building with clients in the development and implementation of projects Skills BS degree in Planning, Engineering, Environmental Science, architecture or Related Field BS in Electrical Engineering Internships or educational experience in fleet planning, facility and infrastructure design, or related fields Benefits Flexible work environment Long term career development Think globally, work locally Company Overview Hatch is an employee-owned, multidisciplinary professional services firm that delivers a comprehensive array of technical services.It was founded in 1955, and is headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, CAN, with a workforce of 5001-10000 employees.
