Build Automation Engineer
Title: Build Automation Engineer Location: 100% Remote (Eastern Time Zone) Type: Contract Rate: $60 per hour Education: HS, JC, College Bachelors 4-year College Degree This position is 100% remote for great candidates This is a contract position to assist with the 2012/R2 retirement project. We have over 150 2012/R2 and Linux systems that we need to retire. The role will provide support for the project in the following ways: • Provisioning Windows and Linux operating systems, while adhering to the company standards. This includes working with vSphere, to provision VMs, and decommissioning old 2008 servers that are no longer needed. Automate the entire OS build process, using automation tools such as Terraform with integrations into ServiceNow to make this provisioning process more efficient, working with our security/patching, Cloud Operations, and infrastructure teams to fully understand the process, and where we can optimize. Tooling intended to be used: • Config management – Salt • Terraform • vSphere and AWS • Bash and Powershell • 4-year degree, strong scripting and familiarity with CI/DC pipelines and automation tools.
