Bridge Structural Engineering Associate – Entry-Level
Farnsworth Group is a nationally recognized architectural, engineering, and surveying firm, and they are seeking a Bridge Structural Engineering Associate – Entry-Level. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers on a variety of transportation structural projects that serve local and nationwide clients. Responsibilities Prepare and develop structural planning, analysis and design for structural aspects of transportation projects that could include: steel plate girders, prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, substructures, foundations, box culverts, retaining and noise walls, interchange or river structures for highway and railway bridge projects Skills Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program, or Architectural Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Engineering required EIT Certification, required 0 - 2 years of Transportation or Structural experience, preferred Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment who can work on and contribute to several projects simultaneously Experience with MicroStation and/ or AutoCAD Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Must be willing to work outside in various weather conditions The employee must frequently lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds Project experience in the design and construction of transportation structures preferred Experience working with IDOT/ ISTHA projects/ clients preferred Benefits 401(k) with 100% Company Match up to 5% Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Plans Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Short & Long-Term Disability Maternity and Paternity Leave Professional Development and Training Mentoring Program Paid Time Off Wellness/Fitness Reimbursements Pet Insurance Plan Hybrid Work Program Company Overview Farnsworth Group is a leading employee-owned full-service design firm, with over 600 professionals across the United States.
