Bridge Engineer

Fisher Associates is a multidisciplinary design services firm seeking a motivated Bridge Engineer to join their collaborative Bridge and Transportation Engineering team. This role involves supporting bridge design, analysis, and transportation infrastructure projects to enhance community safety and mobility. Responsibilities Support bridge design engineering, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design Develop design plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables Assist with field inspections and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery Skills B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field 0-5 years of transportation experience, structures/bridge design engineering experience EIT preferred or ability to obtain it Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT) Professional performance aligned with Fisher's Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Clientship philosophy Dedicated to fostering trusting relationships through collaboration, integrity, respect, and active listening Proven ability to deliver quality work through critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment Proactively own projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growth environment Superior organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail Curious and improvement-minded, embracing feedback and continuously seeking better solutions Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field 0-5 years of transportation experience, structures/bridge design engineering experience Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Plan Company-paid Life and Disability Insurance Hybrid Work Schedule Generous PTO and Paid Holidays Strong Work-life Balance Shareholders Program Professional Development Opportunities and Reimbursement Supplemental Benefits Designed for Total Well-being and Financial Security Engage with a variety of employee groups focused on community, inclusion, and employee voice.
