Bridge and Heavy Civil Summer Internship

Join KPFF Consulting Engineers as a summer intern in Bridge and Heavy Civil Structural design, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship in a collaborative environment. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Participate in real work environment and gain practical experience in bridge and heavy civil structural design • Collaborate with skilled engineers and CAD designers • Engage in hands-on training programs, dedicating nearly 25% of time to training • Work on interesting projects and visit active job sites • Maintain a 40-hour work schedule, Monday through Friday, with flexible core hours from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM • Work Monday-Thursday in the Downtown Los Angeles office and optionally remotely on Fridays About You The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications: • Currently working toward a BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Bridge design or structural engineering • Completed coursework in Structural Analysis, Mechanics of Materials, Concrete, Steel or Wood Design, and Bridge-related classes • Preferred: Participation in Bridge Competition Compensation & Benefits • Hourly pay: $29.50 for students who have completed their Junior year; $31.50 for those who have completed their Bachelor's degree • Overtime paid at time-and-a-half hourly rate • Monthly Way We Work stipend for remote work and transit expenses • Flexible scheduling with hybrid work option after training period • Generous benefits and supportive work-life integration culture Training & Development • Mentorship with skilled engineers and CAD designers • Hands-on training programs comprising nearly 25% of intern time • Opportunities for educational events, relationship building, and fun activities How to Apply • Submit application via the company’s careers page • Provide transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate courses • Include a cover letter in PDF format addressing: excitement about a career in Bridge Design or Heavy Civil, most influential person, and a successful team experience • Resumes sent elsewhere will not be considered This job may close before the stated closing date, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible Report this job Apply tot his job
