They will create the innovative products we bring to the market as well as shape the Group Black global brand. The Role: Group Black is seeking a Brand Strategy Director to join our team. This team works cross-functionally to develop custom partnership solutions and owns the ideation and creative development process. In this role, you'll create compelling, revenue-generating programs rooted in client briefs, proactive concepts, data, and cultural insights. Our solutions range from influencer campaigns to experiential activations that authentically engage multicultural audiences. You’ll also be expected to understand and contribute to the full campaign packaging process—including production and media amplification.Reporting to the VP of Strategy & Accounts, the ideal candidate is a confident and versatile storyteller, collaborative by nature, and highly attuned to the evolving media and marketing landscape. You’ll help shape product-led programs that marry industry-leading ideas with Group Black’s media assets to deliver real results for our advertising partners.Your Day-to-Day:Oversee the development of RFP responses and proposals for assigned opportunities.Own the strategy and creative direction for core custom products such as She’s Good and HBCU.Provide strategic recommendations to advertisers that leverage the full suite of Group Black offerings, including digital media, CTV, original content, event activations, influencer programs, and social campaigns.Lead brainstorms and concept development for innovative, cross-platform marketing programs that clearly show how our assets work together to meet client goals.Identify content-driven opportunities and thought-starters that spark client engagement.Partner with Strategy and Insights to build strong, data-informed rationales for all proposals.Manage cross-functional P&Ls and production costs to ensure creativity and profitability.Collaborate across teams to develop culturally relevant, out-of-the-box ideas and programs.Help evolve Group Black’s offerings, uncover new products, and tailor initiatives to reflect multicultural themes and experiences.Cultivate relationships with third-party organizations and vendors to expand our integrated marketing capabilities.Package and present new offerings to educate internal teams and prospective clients.What you can expect: Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing start-up company.Fun company events and celebrations with a focus on inclusion and collaboration across all levels of the organization.What you bring to the team:8+ years of experience in media or brand marketing/strategy, developing integrated solutions for advertisers.Strong understanding of digital advertising, media KPIs, ad tech, and emerging platforms.Proven ability to develop creative, culturally relevant campaigns and articulate strategic opportunities.Proficiency in Google Workspace, Keynote, PowerPoint, and Excel.A team-oriented, flexible, and collaborative mindset.A proactive, solution-focused approach with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Deep passion for multicultural marketing, economic empowerment, and supporting minority-owned media businesses, creators, and communities.Cultural fluency in areas such as music, fashion, sports, entertainment, tech, travel, and social impact.Commitment to the mission, vision, and objectives of the organization.At Group Black we believe in leveraging our hiring process as a way to support transparency. The annual base salary band for this opportunity is $155,000 - $170,000 Our job offer compensation philosophy, which impacts actual compensation, is based on a number of important factors, including, but not limited to, internal and market equity, financial budgets, and the individual’s skills, qualifications, experience, and education. Published annual base salary bands do not include individual variable compensation opportunities, such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentives.Group Black also offers employees a comprehensive, flexible, and competitive benefits program.
