Location: Remote (Philippines-based only)
Pay Structure: $6.50 $9.00/Hour, USD via wire transfer
About the Role:
DHA CPAs is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Bookkeeper to join our remote team as an independent contractor, with the intention to transition to a full-time position by October 1, 2025. The initial contract runs through our year-end busy season (NovemberJanuary), after which well assess performance and fit for a long-term hire.
Youll be hands-on with client accounting tasks, delivering accurate, high-quality results in a fast-paced, fully cloud-based environment. Were looking for a self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven setting, takes pride in staying organized, meeting objectives, and continuously improving, and enjoys solving problems, setting goals, and using the best tools and resources to deliver efficient, high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record financial transactions (sales, expenses, receipts, payments)
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Process payroll; prepare sales tax filings, 1099s, and related reports
• Maintain general ledgers and assist in month-end financial reporting
• Support year-end closing tasks and ensure accuracy and timeliness of all bookkeeping activities
Qualifications & Skills
• Professional or bachelors degree preferred (not required)
• 23 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience (US-based experience a plus)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online/Desktop (training available)
• Familiarity with ADP, CCH Axcess, or Microsoft Office 365 is an advantage
• Self-starter who works independently with minimal oversight
• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Thrives in a deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality
• Proactive problem-solver who uses resources and tools effectively
• Adaptable to new technologies; comfortable in a fully cloud-based setup
• Invested in personal growth and motivated to meet objectives
• Strong time management, communication, and client service skills
Schedule & Location:
• Full-time: 40 hours/week (minimum 36 hours/week JuneAugust)
• Busy Season: Nov 1Feb 15, with increased workload
• Flexible hours with at least 4-hour overlap between 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m. CST
• Daily time entry required; overtime must be pre-approved
• 100% remote (Philippines-based only); dedicated private workspace required
Tools, Resources & Benefits

• Additional equipment may be provided as needed (e.g., monitors, headset)
• All DHA-provided equipment must be returned upon separation; partial reimbursement may apply if contract ends within 12 months
• 13th Month Pay (prorated first year)
• 140 hours of Paid Time Off annually, increasing with tenure
• 9 Paid Holidays (Philippines non-working holidays)
