Bookkeeper for Ongoing Project-Based Work
We’re looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our woman-owned, woman-staffed accounting team on a project-based basis. We currently have about 8 hours of work per month available, with the expectation that hours will increase as we bring on more clients.
Our clients are small business owners—most with teams of 1–3—so we value a personable, approachable bookkeeping style alongside technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping for multiple clients, primarily in QuickBooks Online
- Work with our project management tool ClickUp to track and manage tasks (training provided if needed)
- Reconcile accounts, categorize transactions, and prepare accurate financial reports
- Work closely with our Account Manager to stay on task and meet project deadlines
- Update our team weekly on client progress and any roadblocks
- Work in the accounting system only—our team handles client communication and meetings
- Handle project-based assignments efficiently and accurately

Qualifications:
- QuickBooks Online Certification required (QuickBooks Payroll Certification is a bonus)
- Experience with other accounting platforms such as Wave, Xero, FreshBooks, etc. is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in ClickUp (or willing to learn)
- Excellent communication skills with internal team members
- Able to work independently and follow established processes
