Role Overview

As a Bookkeeper, you will be instrumental in addressing the financial and accounting requirements of our clients and their representatives. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the daily tasks of an assistant and managing full-charge bookkeeping functions, encompassing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, as well as direct client engagement for both individuals and corporations.

Key Responsibilities
• Efficiently manage accounts payable, cash receipts, and cash disbursements.
• Oversee multiple clients, ensuring timely and precise payment processing.
• Record adjusting journal entries and reconcile monthly bank statements.
• Perform data entry and coding of all financial transactions.
• Prepare and provide monthly financial statements and cash reports.
• Generate and review reports in preparation for tax submissions.
• Process corporate and household payroll, reconciling quarterly and annual payroll reports.
• Review and calculate client staff timesheets, including tracking sick and vacation time.
• Prepare annual 1099s and W-2s.
• Assist clients with personal or business transactions, billing, invoicing, and payroll queries as they arise.
• Maintain effective daily communication with clients and colleagues.
• Prioritize assignments, grasp urgent needs, and adhere to deadlines.
• Manage quarterly and annual reporting to relevant guilds (DGA, WGA, SAG-AFTRA).
• Collaborate with insurance brokers to ensure clients have appropriate coverage.
• File medical claims on behalf of clients.
• Participate in special projects as required.

Required Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
• A collaborative spirit and positive demeanor are essential.
• Basic understanding of income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.

Qualifications
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Management or Accounting.
• High School Diploma or higher; experience with Agilink and QuickBooks (desktop and online) is a plus.
