Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Booking Agent / Promotions & Marketing Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for securing live performances and events for our roster of artists, while simultaneously developing and executing creative marketing campaigns to maximize attendance and exposure. The ideal candidate is a dual-threat, adept at both the art of negotiation and the science of promotion.
Key Responsibilities
Booking & Client Management:
• Negotiate and secure live performances, tours, and other engagements with venues, promoters, and event organizers.
• Manage a roster of artists, understanding their career goals and strategic growth.
• Draft, review, and finalize booking contracts, ensuring all terms are favorable and clearly outlined.
• Maintain and expand a professional network of industry contacts, including venue managers, talent buyers, and promoters.
• Coordinate all logistical aspects of a show, including travel, hospitality, and technical riders.
Promotion & Marketing:
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for each event, leveraging both traditional and digital channels.
• Manage social media accounts, email marketing campaigns, and press releases to build event awareness.
• Create compelling promotional materials, including event posters, flyers, and digital ad copy.
• Conduct market research to identify target audiences and new promotional opportunities.
• Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns to optimize future strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Entry level through proven experience as a Booking Agent, Talent Buyer, or Promotions/Marketing Manager, preferably in the entertainment or music industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a track record of successful deal-making.
• Deep knowledge of the entertainment industry, including current trends and key players.
• Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (e.g., social media management tools, email marketing software, ad platforms).
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills—the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is critical.
• A proactive and creative problem-solver with a strong attention to detail.
Compensation
• Entry Rate: $15.00 per hour
• Commission: 20% commission on all completed bookings.
