Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in guiding the organization towards fulfilling its mission and ensuring effective governance. This position requires a commitment to overseeing the strategic direction of the organization, advocating for those we serve, and contributing your expertise in various areas such as social work, program management, and relationship management.
Duties
• Provide strategic oversight and direction for the organization’s programs and initiatives.
• Participate in board meetings and contribute to discussions on organizational policies, budgets, and program development.
• Utilize your experience in supervising staff and managing programs to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and ensure that their needs are represented in decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with other board members to develop relationships with stakeholders and community partners.
• Monitor organizational performance against established goals and objectives.
• Assist in budgeting processes to ensure financial health and sustainability of the organization.
• Support administrative functions as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
Experience
• Proven experience in supervising teams or managing programs, preferably within social work or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in budgeting, administrative tasks, and program management are essential.
• Excellent relationship management skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• A background in program development is an asset that will enhance your contributions to the board.
