Biotech Patent Attorney

Benefits: • 401(k) • Bonus based on performance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance Kim IP, a New Jersey based intellectual property law firm, is seeking an experienced biotech patent attorney with a background in biology or related discipline and a portable book of business of at least $200,000. We are seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates with excellent academic credentials, communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Prior engineering experience is a plus. Attorney will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, managing IP portfolios, counseling clients, performing patentability and clearance opinions, with exposure to domestic and international prosecution, along with client contact and management. Additional Requirements: • Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of technologies within the biotech arts. • At least 5 year of law firm patent prosecution experience. • JD, NJ State Bar or ability to gain admission to NJ, USPTO Bar. • Industry experience is a plus. • Litigation experience a plus.
