The Field Service Technician II will serve as a technical partner by installing, maintaining, and servicing medical systems and devices, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site service including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of medical systems and equipmentTrain and educate medical staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and basic troubleshootingDeliver technical support for field escalations, customer concerns, and warranty inquiriesManage routine and emergency service requests within your assigned territoryAccurately document service events, complaint information, and system updates using internal toolsAdhere to standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirementsParticipate in projects, event support, or cross-functional tasks as required by the business unitMaintain strong communication with internal teams, customers, and leadership regarding service activities and prioritiesSkillsAn Associate's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field; OR a combination of education and experience, including equivalent military or field service experience, may be considered in lieu of a degreeMinimum of 1 year in a role requiring travel to customer or field/remote sitesStrong understanding of electronic systems, including analog and digital circuitryProficiency in troubleshooting and servicing complex technical or medical equipmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindsetAbility to travel approximately 75% of the time to service customers, sometimes on short noticeAbility to work independently and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervisionValid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable service vehicle that meets company insurance requirementsPrior technical field service, biomedical, or military technical MOS experienceExperience in hospital or ambulatory surgery environmentsBusiness unit-specific experience: Laser Systems: Familiarity with lasers, optics, and safety regulationsCertification or coursework in Laser Technology, Electronics, or Biomedical EngineeringStrong proficiency with business systems and Microsoft Office SuiteCompany OverviewBoston Scientific is a medical technology company that designs and develops medical devices to diagnose and treat a wide range of condition.
