We are seeking a talented Bioinformatics Engineer to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge cloud-based platform for single-cell RNA sequencing data analysis. In this role, you will collaborate across the full software stack to design, implement, and optimize computational pipelines, interactive visualizations, and user-facing features. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a multidisciplinary team, tackling large-scale data challenges and shaping the technical direction of the platform. Accountabilities Design, prototype, develop, and test computational pipelines and visualizations for single-cell data analysis. Continuously iterate and enhance existing pipelines, features, and analytical tools. Collaborate closely with team members to architect new functionality and ensure code quality across the stack. Receive and incorporate feedback from colleagues and users to improve usability and performance. Troubleshoot analyses and assist users with technical challenges. Stay up-to-date with advances in single-cell genomics and emerging bioinformatics methodologies. Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the team. Requirements Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field; PhD preferred for senior-level roles. 2+ years of professional experience in industry (Masters) or 3+ years for Bachelors; additional experience for senior consideration. Strong programming skills in Python and R. Advanced experience with bioinformatics pipelines using Nextflow, Snakemake, or similar frameworks. Practical experience with open-source single-cell analysis tools, including Scanpy and Seurat. Professional experience in web development and data visualization. Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub) and cloud-based containerized applications, preferably on AWS. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills; experience leading projects or acting as a technical lead is a plus.
