Duties
ā¢ Review and analyze billing documentation to assign appropriate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes
ā¢ Ensure all coding aligns with Florida's HB 837 tort reform requirements to maintain compliance and avoid legal issues
ā¢ Maintain detailed and organized records, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility for audits or reviews
ā¢ Stay updated on changes in medical coding standards, billing regulations, and tort reform policies
Requirements
ā¢ Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting
ā¢ Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG classifications, and ICD coding systems
ā¢ Billing/Medical Coder with a strong understanding of Florida's HB 837 tort reform
ā¢ Strong understanding of medical terminology, records management, and insurance claim processes
ā¢ Experience working in OneDrive
ā¢ Knowledge of CPT/billing compliance standards
ā¢ Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise coding and billing accuracy
