Billing Support Specialist II - Remote
PURPOSE The Billing Support Specialist II handles more complex inquiries and serves as a knowledge resource for peers. This role requires deeper understanding of carrier billing, dispute processes, and payment workflows, with the ability to independently resolve moderate issues and mentor Level I team members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all duties of Specialist I with increased speed and accuracy.
Research and resolve moderately complex billing and payment issues.
Provide insight and feedback on recurring issues to inform process improvements.
Coach junior team members and assist in onboarding/training.
Proactively identify when to escalate issues or bring in specialized teams.
Ensure high-quality communication and service standards are consistently met.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Familiarity with carrier billing and dispute resolution processes preferred.
Advanced research and triage skills across multiple platforms.
Proven track record of meeting response time and quality goals.
Ability to coach and support team members effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
2–4 years in a billing, finance support, or customer-facing operations role.
High School diploma or equivalent
