Job Title: Billing Specialist

We’re seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support our client's growing finance and revenue cycle operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to continue building a career in medical or dental billing. You’ll receive the training and resources you need to grow while making an immediate impact on the team’s success.

Responsibilities
• Partner with practices across the country to access systems and process claims.
• Review coding, demographics, and claim details prior to submission.
• Collect and verify referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Enter claim information and prepare billing statements for healthcare services.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies or claim rejections.
• Submit electronic claims, including supporting documentation and narratives.
• Track outstanding balances and follow up on denials or rejections.
• Communicate with clients regarding billing questions or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal company policies.
• Investigate insurance claims and communicate findings with stakeholders.
• Research insurance policies to ensure claim requirements are met.

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience processing medical, dental, or healthcare billing claims.
• Ability to meet productivity and accuracy standards within standard work hours.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), SharePoint, MS Teams, and billing software systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with tools such as NEA Fast Attach, remote access platforms (VPN, LogMeIn), or similar systems.
