Billing Specialist-Laboratory Express $22-$28/hour| Full-time | Entry Level | Training Provider | About the Role Laboratory Express is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage insurance claims, patient billings, revenue cycle operations for our diagnostic laboratory services. Ideal for detailed oriented professionals with billing or customer service experience. Key Responsibilities 1. Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage and benefits. 2. Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on denials/rejections 3. Handle patient billing inquiries and payment processing. 4. Review laboratory orders for proper coding and authorization 5. Maintain accurate patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies 6. Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers 7. Generate reports on collections, aging accounts, and revenue metrics Requirements 1. High school diploma or equivalent required: Associate degree preferred 2. Previous billing, insurance, or customer service experience strongly preferred 3. Knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes a plus 4. Strong computer skills and attention to detail 5. Excellent communication skills for phone and written correspondence 6. No laboratory billing experience required-comprehensive training in medical coding and laboratory procedures What We Offer 1.
