Job title: Bilingual Receptionist (PT 2:00-6:00 pm) Company: Job description: Part-Time Bilingual Receptionist Job Description LAMB’s Mission: To create a self-directed learning environment in which children build a foundation of knowledge essential for a lifetime of learning while developing bi-literacy in English and Spanish. Job Summary: LAMB will maintain three primary communities at its South Dakota facility for the 2022 - 2023 school year. This position, which will be open until we close the facility, is responsible for the smooth running of the front desk during our Before and Aftercare Student Enrichment (BASE) Program providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents, and visitors. This part-time position (2:00 pm to 6:00 pm), reports to the SD Building Administrator. Essential Duties • Provide excellent customer service to parents, staff, students, and visitors in both English and Spanish via in-person contact and telephone, in a fast-paced front desk setting • Facilitate student pick up from BASE • Answer phone inquiries by providing general information and/or connecting calls as appropriate • Perform a variety of clerical tasks as assigned • Translate documents and announcements between English and Spanish • Support student health room and address emergency and non-emergency situations as they arise • Provide support to after care as needed • Helps track and organize RevolutionFoods menus and snacks • Other duties as assigned Qualifications • Minimum of a high school diploma • At least one years’ experience performing the duties and responsibilities associated with this position • Bilingual-Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English required • Able to work in a multicultural, bilingual environment • Strong organizational, problem solving, and computer skills (Google Workspace) • Able to multitask, prioritize, and work flexibly and collaboratively • Able to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to parent, staff, and student needs and information • Experience working in a school setting preferred Compensation Salary is commensurate with experience.
