Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Bilingual Mediator fluent in Portuguese and English. The Bilingual Mediator will act as a neutral party, facilitating discussions and resolving conflicts related to marital agreements while ensuring mutual understanding between parties. Responsibilities include drafting agreements, translating documents as needed, and ensuring clear communication between Portuguese-speaking clients and the legal team. The role requires cultural sensitivity and an ability to navigate emotionally charged situations with tact and professionalism.

Qualifications
• Proficiency in both Portuguese and English, including translation and interpretation skills
• Strong mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Familiarity with marital agreements, family law, or mediation practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both languages
• Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information with confidentiality
• Experience in remote work and utilizing virtual collaboration tools
• Juris Doctorate is required.
• Relevant certification in mediation or alternative dispute resolution is a plus
• Cultural sensitivity and empathy in interpersonal interactions
