Bilingual French and English Verbatim Transcriptionists - Contract to Hire

Job Title: Bilingual Transcriptionist - French & English (Verbatim Transcription) - Long-Term Project Project Type: Data Entry and Admin Duration: Long-term ongoing project Client: Various companies, government agencies and clients in the USA & Canada About This Role: I am a Virtual Assistant currently overwhelmed with transcription work and seeking a reliable bilingual transcriptionist to help manage the workload. This is a long-term partnership opportunity for the right candidate. Responsibilities: - Transcription of Audio Files: Accurately transcribe audio recordings from various sources, including corporate meetings, government discussions, and court proceedings - Language Handling: - Transcribe spoken content in the original language (English or French) - Include filler words and other speech nuances in the transcript (verbatim style) - Attention to Detail: Maintain high accuracy in capturing the spoken word, including relevant non-verbal cues for videos. NOTE THAT THESE TASKS ARE VERY TIME-LIMITED. E.g.. A client may send in an hour audio at 11 AM demanding to have it by 12 NOON. You must have fast typing skills. The audios may at times be a mix of the two languages. Requirements: - Must be fluent in both English and French (spoken and written) - Strong listening skills and exceptional attention to detail - Ability to handle various accents and dialects from North American speakers - Familiarity with transcription tools and software is preferred - Minimum typing speed of 45-above WPM in English(verification required) - Experience with verbatim transcription preferred Application Process: 1. Initial Screening: Submit your proposal with relevant transcription experience 2. Skills Assessment: Complete a transcription test evaluating your abilities in both languages. This one would be short, 4 min at max for each Language. 3. Last test- 30minutes Transcription of the audios we work with. NOTE THAT FOR ALL THESE TESTS YOU WILL BE TIMED. You are ALLOWED TO USE SOFTWARES WITH HOT KEYS AND EVERYTHING.
