POSITION SUMMARY This position will be responsible for drafting Plan Documents for group health plans. Additionally, the BCA will maintain a detailed database tracking the history of all group health plan revisions. The BCA will also be responsible for organizing plan documents online. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Review all aspects of the templates and data submission in order to draft plan documents and summary plan descriptions (SPD) for self-funded group health plans. Question and advise on documents being drafted. Assist from a technical standpoint in creating and improving efficient workflows. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS At least 2 years’ experience drafting benefits documents required. Possess an understanding of Federal laws that impact group health plans, including the Affordable Care Act required Excellent written communications required Knowledge and previous ERISA experience required Experience with document review, legal documents, and file management required Intermediate knowledge of Adobe to create plan documents. Must be tech-savvy and possess a thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word, particularly with respect to formatting Word documents. Must be comfortable learning new software programs. Attention to the smallest details and superior organizational skills are of paramount importance.
