• Support annual renewals, financial modeling, and long-term planning.
• Develop employee communications in partnership with HR Communications (leave education, vendor launches, awareness).

• Support transition planning to move markets to standardized enterprise programs for time away (PTO), leave, disability, and voluntary benefits.
• Partner with market HR & Employee Relations teams to assess readiness, timing, and policy impacts; align with enterprise timelines.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and change impacts; escalate critical items to Benefits leadership.
• Support creation of implementation playbooks and change management materials.

Vendor & Partner Management
• Serve as a strategic point of contact for voluntary benefit carriers, disability vendors, third‑party leave administrators, and consultants.
• Monitor vendor performance, service issues, SLAs, and outcomes; drive continuous improvement and accountability.
• Support RFPs, renewals, implementations, and vendor transitions.
• Partner with HR Operations to identify systemic issues and trends requiring COE intervention.

Governance & Advisory
• Apply system standards and benefits governance consistently across voluntary benefits, disability, and leave/time-away programs.
• Review exception requests and prepare recommendations with supporting rationale.
• Maintain plan standards, decision frameworks, and SOPs for leave/disability/voluntary benefits.
• Provide guidance to HR Operations and HR Business Partners on policy interpretation and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, DOL, IRS, FMLA, ADA, and applicable state leave requirements.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field required.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive benefits experience focused on voluntary benefits, disability, or leave/time-away programs. Experience in a large, complex employer and multi-market harmonization preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
• Proficiency in BenAdmin software and HRIS systems.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
• Excellent communication and consulting skills leveraging data insights.
• Self-starter who is adaptable in an evolving COE environment.

Preferred Attributes
• Experience with union environments.
• Large healthcare system experience.
