Bank Teller - Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands

Summary

Provide superior quality customer service and a positive banking experience for customers with the efficient processing of daily transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Process transactions accurately and efficiently to build customer confidence and trust, based on established policies and procedures.
? Daily balancing and verifying cash totals. Promptly resolve discrepancies.
? Demonstrate passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers with positive, upbeat attitude.
? Develop and maintain knowledge of product and service offerings to promote and refer customers to appropriate staff for additional information.
? Resolve questions/problems, escalating more difficult issues to Supervisor or Management.
? Act as an ambassador of the bank - smile and greet customers; build customer loyalty through courtesy, friendliness and professionalism, including addressing each customer by name.
? Maintain good working relationships with all personnel and with management.
? Perform other related duties such as internal control audits, filing, safe deposit box duties and other teller line functions, as necessary.
? Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
? Project and maintain the positive image and reputation of Edison National Bank to the public and co-workers.
? Comply with federal and state laws, as well as internal policies and procedures including Edison National Bank's program for Consumer Protection Regulations Community Reinvestment and the Bank Secrecy Act.
? Willingness to attend schools, seminars and meetings to keep abreast of laws, regulations, and services, as needed.
? Adopt Edison National Bank's philosophies and adhere to the ?Better Way? program.
? Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
? May be required to work at other office locations.
? Regular attendance according to work schedule.
? Management strongly encourages and expects employees to contact a supervisor immediately if an error is incurred (or question of a possible error) that may lead to a loss to the Bank and/or customer.

Job Requirements
? High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.
? One to two years retail sales experience is desirable.
? Proficient use of computer software and systems.
? Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
? Attention to details, accuracy and communication/listening skills.
? Must exercise initiative, alertness and good customer relations? skills.
? Good math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
? Ability to work under pressure and able to function in a multi-task environment.
? Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
? Ability to maintain the integrity of highly confidential information.

Physical Demands

The employee is required to stand for long periods of time; bend, squat, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move coin boxes up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
