Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate at Savers fulfills a crucial function in supporting daily warehouse operations. Responsibilities include helping drivers unload donations, organizing items, documenting product weights, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and efficiency. Furthermore, the role involves loading trailers, managing inventory records, and ensuring safety compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Back up drivers by aiding in the transfer of donations onto carts during warehouse tasks.
• Sort contributions based on categories such as textiles, durable materials, bulky objects, and household furniture.
• Accurately record the weights of items on the carts through proper weighing procedures.
• Position and secure loaded carts in designated storage zones to maintain warehouse order.
• Ensure the accuracy of route paperwork by verifying truck weights and preparing thorough delivery documentation.
• Observe the designated Savers guidelines for trailer loading and monitor the weight measurements of items during the loading phase.
• Help with the everyday stock checks and inputting of information to track stock levels effectively.
• Ensuring that aisles and walkways are free from debris and clutter is crucial for maintaining safety measures.
• Employ a calculator to adjust tare weights and accurately calculate the net weights of items.
• Routinely examine forklifts to verify compliance with company policies and state regulations related to safety.
• Offer support in the loading and unloading of trucks needed for store relocations.
• Complete other duties as assigned, including general office and restroom cleaning tasks.

Qualifications:
• The basic educational qualification expected is a high school diploma or its substitute.
• Preferential consideration is given to candidates with prior warehouse or logistics experience.
• Job involves the regular lifting and moving of heavy objects.
• Being highly attentive to detail and accuracy in data recording.
• Necessary math competencies for weight calculations and effective inventory tracking.
• Proficiency in observing safety guidelines and promoting a tidy work setting.
