Top Skills - Must Haves • micro services • Restful Api • Typescript (backend) • Node Top Skills' Details • JavaScript (Json for rest calls) – 3+ years • Node.js & Typescript – 5+ years • Rest web services/Micro services/api development experience Job Description • The microservices team is implementing rest micro services for a huge systems integration project. • Most of the other teams are dependent on this team to consume their services. • The main skill set is javascript and the rest micro services are written on a Node.js framework. • This person needs to have very good javascript and api development experience to be successful. • REST API development and Node are most important. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience building RESTful APIs using NodeJS/TypeScript/JavaScript/ExpressJS/Gitlab/GitHub. • Must be fluent in TypeScript, JavaScript, NodeJS, NoSQL Database (Couch, Mongo), Writing Unit Tests/ TDD • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, elastic is a plus. Overview • Universal Destinations and Resorts is undertaking a large scale systems integration initiative within its Food & Beverage mobile workstream. • The backend microservices team is central to this effort, building RESTful APIs that other teams depend on to deliver seamless guest experiences. • We are seeking Node.js Backend Developers with strong JavaScript/TypeScript expertise to join this collaborative environment and help build things the right way. Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend microservices using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Quality Engineers to ensure scalable, reliable solutions • Participate in Agile ceremonies within a Scaled Agile delivery framework • Contribute to integration efforts across multiple systems, ensuring APIs are consumable by dependent teams • Apply engineering best practices including Unit Testing, Test Driven Development (TDD), and performance testing • Identify pain points and propose solutions while evangelizing backend development best practices Required Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js (server side development) • Hands on experience with REST API design and development (Swagger/OpenAPI a plus) • Proficiency with Express.js and backend frameworks • Experience with Document databases (CouchDB preferred) and Relational databases (MSSQL preferred) • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred) • Solid understanding of version control systems (Git preferred) • Strong communication skills with both technical and non technical peers • Experience working in Agile environments Apply tot his job
