Position: Backend Developer (Python (Django), Node.js, MySQL, AWS (EC2, RDS, Amplify)) Location: Town of Texas We’re looking for an experienced Backend Developer with a strong foundation in Python, Node.js, and SQL to help us architect, build, and maintain the core infrastructure powering Blossend’s products. You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, owning backend services that must scale with security, reliability, and performance in mind. Role Description / About the Job: You will lead backend development initiatives across services powering Open My Pro & Blossend. You’ll work with product & frontend teams to build APIs, integrate services, optimize performance, and ensure infrastructure resilience. Remote Location(s): United States. Blossend is a fully remote company with optional hybrid in Austin, TX. Responsibilities: • Design, build, & maintain scalable backend systems using Python, Node.js, & SQL. • Develop & document RESTful APIs to support mobile & web clients. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical architecture & infrastructure. • Ensure high availability, performance, & security of backend services. • Write clean, testable, & maintainable code with clear documentation. • Monitor, debug, & troubleshoot production issues. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field. • 3+ years of backend development experience, preferably in a startup or SaaS setting. • Experience with frameworks like Django, Flask, or Express.js. • Strong knowledge of database architecture, schema design, & query optimization. • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), & Linux environments. Minimum Qualifications: • 2+ years experience with Python, Node.js, & relational databases (e.g., MySQL). • Experience deploying applications on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.). • Comfortable building & integrating RESTful APIs. • Proficient with Git, Git Hub workflows, & agile development practices. • Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
