Azure Infrastructure Engineer/Admin
Position: Azure Infrastructure Engineer/Admin Location: Chicago, IL - Remote Duration: 12+ Months • Design, deploy, and support Azure infrastructure including VMs, networking, storage, and platform services. • Build automation and InfrastructureasCode (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, or Azure CLI. • Provision, configure, monitor, and maintain Azure resources for performance, availability, and security. • Support application and platform teams by provisioning cloud environments and implementing cloudready architectures. • Implement identity and access management (IAM), network security (NSGs, Firewalls), and data protection. • Work with developers, architects, and business stakeholders. • Implement and maintain monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. • Manage identity, access, and security configurations using Azure AD/Entra ID, Key Vault, NSGs, firewalls, and policies. • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and drive incident resolution and rootcause analysis. • Contribute to cost optimization, governance, and operational standards across the Azure environment. • Integrate Git with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Repos, GitHub, or other Gitbased platforms. • Troubleshoot Git issues, resolve merge conflicts, and maintain clean repository structures. • Document solutions, configurations, and architectural decisions. • 6+ years of handson experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure engineering. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure services (compute, networking, storage, security). • Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python). • Good understanding of cloud networking concepts (VNETs, DNS, routing, VPNs, load balancers). • Knowledge of cloud security practices and identity management. • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
