CTG is seeking an Azure Data Engineer with expertise in event-driven and streaming systems to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure. Location: RemoteDuration: 9 months Key Responsibilities:Develop real-time and batch data pipelines using Azure Event Hub, Databricks (Spark), Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics.Build backend services with Python and/or Java.Design and optimize SQL queries across multiple databases (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).Implement streaming solutions and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Azure Event Hub).Leverage AI-assisted tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) to accelerate development.Maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and CI/CD processes for reliable deployments.Required Skills:Strong programming in Python and/or JavaAdvanced SQL and database optimizationExperience with event-driven architecturesProficient with Azure cloud services: Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Functions, ADLS2, Blob Storage, Cosmos DBFamiliarity with streaming frameworks and real-time analyticsNice to Have: Financial services experience, ETL/ELT pipelines, CRM integrations (Salesforce), Redis, GraphQL, containerization, infrastructure-as-code Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
