AWS Specialist/Engineer (Remote Opportunity)

VetsEZ is seeking an AWS Specialist/Engineer to be a part of a remote team and support the Department of Veterans Affairs. The AWS Specialist will provide support in analysis, design, and integration of information systems and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and development software.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Estimate team level timelines and technical efforts for planning purposes
• Experience with application development, modification, and maintenance of applications
• Manage deliverables by working with stakeholder resources within budget, maintenance, and quality
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and functional software issues
• Conduct code reviews, code quality checks and developer integration testing

Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any other relevant discipline is required
• At least minimum 5 years of software development experience is required
• Must be well versed in understanding structured analysis and design methodologies for the translation of systems requirements from business needs with a proven track record
• Must be able to evaluate cost factors and risk
• Must have experience with operations of IT systems in AWS
• Experience with AWS monitoring tools: CloudWatch
• Experience with monitoring tools Splunk: Dynatrace preferred
• Good communicator
• Detail oriented

Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain a government clearance
• HealthShare experience preferred
• VA/Government experience preferred
