AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Intern

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our IT infrastructure. This position requires a strong foundation in cloud computing, virtualization, and system architecture. The Infrastructure Engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure while supporting the development of innovative solutions. Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and Rackspace. • Develop and maintain service-oriented architecture (SOA) for web services, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS applications. • Manage virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Docker, and Kubernetes for efficient resource utilization. • Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions into existing applications using RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. • Implement system hardening practices to enhance security across all operating systems including Linux, Windows, and UNIX environments. • Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Terraform for automated deployment processes. • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to IT infrastructure components including databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), networking (VPNs), and storage solutions (S3). • Participate in Agile software development practices to ensure timely delivery of projects within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery planning to safeguard data integrity. Skills • Proficient in cloud computing technologies including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Rackspace. • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, Docker, and Kubernetes. • Experience with programming languages including Python, JavaScript, Go, Ruby on Rails, .NET, Node.js for application development. • Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle. • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), T-SQL for automation tasks. • Expertise in DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git for version control. • Understanding of cloud architecture principles related to system hardening and security best practices. • Experience with NoSQL databases and Internet of Things (IoT) concepts is a plus.
