Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Architect with a strong background in infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), building self-service provisioning platforms, DevOps practices, and expertise in building cloud solutions for data platforms. As our Senior AWS Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective architectural designs that align with best practices and industry standards. Your expertise in infrastructure automation, IaC, self-service provisioning platforms, DevOps, and data platform solutions will be essential in enabling efficient and streamlined infrastructure provisioning, deployment, management, and analytics across our organization.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS architectures using best practices and industry standards.
ā¢ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and develop effective infrastructure solutions.
ā¢ Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar, to enable efficient provisioning and management of infrastructure resources.
ā¢ Build and enhance self-service provisioning platforms, empowering teams to provision and manage infrastructure resources independently and efficiently.
ā¢ Implement DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automated testing, to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
ā¢ Architect and build cloud solutions for data platforms, including data storage, processing, and analytics, leveraging AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and EMR.
ā¢ Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management processes using appropriate tools and frameworks, with a strong emphasis on Terraform.
ā¢ Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards throughout the infrastructure design and implementation phases.
ā¢ Conduct thorough performance analysis, capacity planning, and cost optimization to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost-effective solutions.
ā¢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, operations, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and data platform solutions.
ā¢ Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
ā¢ Stay updated with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in AWS, infrastructure automation, IaC, self-service provisioning platforms, DevOps, and data platform solutions, and apply them to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
ā¢ Extensive experience as an AWS Architect, with a focus on infrastructure automation, IaC, building self-service provisioning platforms, DevOps practices, and data platform solutions.
ā¢ Strong proficiency in designing and implementing complex AWS architectures, including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and other relevant AWS services.
ā¢ In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools, with strong expertise in Terraform.
ā¢ Proven experience in building self-service provisioning platforms and empowering teams to provision and manage infrastructure resources independently.
ā¢ Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
ā¢ Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance frameworks in the AWS ecosystem.
ā¢ Expertise in designing and building cloud solutions for data platforms, including data storage, processing, and analytics.
ā¢ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex infrastructure and data platform issues.
ā¢ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
ā¢ AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty or AWS
