Job Description: THIS ROLE HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR 100% REMOTE WORK At TJX, Enterprise Business Technology Solution Delivery is on a multi-year journey to enable modern, efficient, and effective ways of delivering business value. We’re looking for an influential IT leader who will provide strategic direction and oversight for delivering IT solutions to our Human Resource business within the Global HCM domain whilst ensuring the team delivers the right work, through the right approach, at the right time. This individual is accountable for owning and developing a project portfolio that addresses business and technical needs within business timelines and financial targets, balancing short term and long term needs. Key responsibilities: • Partners with Business & IT leaders across all levels to understand business strategies, financial investments, identify areas of opportunity, sets strategic direction and delivers solutions to address global business and technology needs. • Ensures appropriate level of governance is in place, including decision-making authority, approval requirements, monitoring and standards. • Manage and lead multiple global product and delivery teams across a wide range of technologies and applications. • Coach, lead and develop a team of skilled and engaged product, delivery and engineering professionals at various levels of seniority. Sets the growth and talent and workforce strategy. • Holds accountability for the end-to-end delivery of the Global HCM Portfolio/Programs to achieve business outcomes • Acts as first point of contact for strategic business requests and an escalation point for issues • Sets and manages the functions’ overall budget and delivery plan. • Evolve lean and agile process and operationalized product management workflows while leaving room for flexibility and team-specific ways of working. • Establish a strategic product practice, tie the roadmap to measurable outcomes and manage competing interests from multiple global stakeholders including IT • Collaboratively create and align stakeholders to a well articulated global product vision and strategic roadmap. • Deep understanding of new technology capabilities, processes, and best practices, staying aligned to industry trends • Partners with various teams within IT as needed to forge key agreements around strategic and cross functional decisions. • Acts as initial point of inquiry for strategic requests and an escalation point for business critical issues. • Ensures product or service delivered meets pre-agreed requirements and standards of quality within budgetary constraints. • Domain / product ownership. Accountable for lifecycle and change management for products in the HCM domain, and partners with supporting functions to ensure roadmaps are in place • Develops and monitors solution delivery performance metrics, measures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure quality and operational efficiency and effectiveness; focuses on improving effectiveness and efficiency of specific domain. • Manage domain / functional area Service Level Agreement’s (SLAs) and ensure appropriate support commitments are in place for relating products. Track and report on SLA compliance by solution delivery, vendors, and business unit teams. Conducts service reviews with business. • Conducts performance appraisals of staff and provides career guidance through regular coaching to develop them for future growth and expanded assignments. Experience & Qualifications: • Typical Experience: 10+ years of information technology experience and 5+ years leading people, technology and systems • Track record of transforming the level of technical capability within a team • Experience with leadership role in defining practices within area of responsibility • Team management and organization skills; ability to lead, motivate and direct a global workgroup • Strong performance management skills to include coaching, goal setting, holding team members across multiple levels accountable for commitments • Recognized thought leader for one or more functional areas, processes, or technical capabilities within assigned scope • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, demanding, and fluid environment, remains calm under pressure, and demonstrates excellent conflict management skills • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work up and down the organization, able to influence others to achieve results • Strong experience with Agile methodologies with a continuous improvement and quality mindset • Executive presence and presentation skills • Education: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field Required Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of the solution delivery lifecycle including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, agile development methodologies, use of product team structures, and/or other applicable methodologies. • Proven success in meeting business objectives/project goals and delivering technology - well organized individual able to hold people accountable for results. • Experience in a leadership role with full life cycle implementations of Workday. • Experience in a leadership role with full life cycle ownership of HCM Solutions • Strong knowledge of retail landscape including HCM value streams • Experience in building out a strong functioning team with product and engineering excellence to deliver on short term & long term business capabilities. • An enabler of DevOps mindset/approach for modernized and legacy systems to co-exist • Executive presence and excellent presentation skills a must. • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at crafting a compelling, clear and objective case. • Minimum 15 years prior experience in systems, business management or related field with at least 5 years leadership experience in technology and systems including HCM value streams. • Experience managing a global function in a complex, multi-national corporate setting with geographically dispersed teams. • SAFe certification preferred.
