Automation Specialist Needed | Make.com | CRM | OpenAI - Contract to Hire
Project Overview:
We are a growing digital business looking to completely streamline our backend operations and lead management. We spend too much time on manual data entry and repetitive tasks. We need an experienced automation expert to integrate our tools, build a robust CRM in Airtable, and leverage AI to automate our workflows.
This can lead to an ongoing engagement if the first project is successful.
Key Responsibilities:
Airtable CRM Development: Design and configure a customized Airtable base to serve as our central CRM, tracking leads, client onboarding, and project statuses.
Workflow Automation: Build complex, multi-step automations using Make.com (primary) and Zapier to connect our tech stack (e.g., Webflow, Stripe, Gmail, Slack, Calendly).
AI Integration: Integrate OpenAI API (ChatGPT) into our workflows to automate lead qualification, draft personalized email responses, and summarize meeting transcripts.
Data Routing: Ensure seamless and accurate data flow between all platforms without duplicates or errors.
Documentation: Provide clear documentation or a brief Loom video explaining how the automations work and how to troubleshoot basic issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven, demonstrable experience with Make.com (Integromat) and Zapier (webhook experience is a must).
Advanced knowledge of Airtable (relational databases, interfaces, automations, and formulas).
Experience connecting and prompting LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) within automation sequences.
Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for identifying process bottlenecks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical setups to non-technical team members.
