We are serious about the safety and financial security of our customers.This position will be posted until filled.ResponsibilitiesThe Auto Damage Claims Supervisor will be responsible for providing and supporting a Best in Class insurance experience by managing and providing leadership to a team of Auto Damage Claims Adjusters. As an Auto Damage Claims Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the auto claims process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy while providing exceptional customer service. With your strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of the insurance industry, you will guide a team of Claims Adjusters to deliver timely and fair resolution to auto damage claims. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, embrace challenges, and make an impact, we want to hear from you!About the roleInspire and lead team in a manner that effectively maximizes business results and employee satisfactionOversee and manage a team of claims adjusters, providing guidance and support throughout the claims processDevelop, implement, and execute behavioral based coaching techniques to maximize individual and team productivity and performanceCoach, mentor, and teach Auto Damage Adjusters to support their continued growth and improvementConsistently work to develop all AdjustersServe as an expert resource to representatives and colleagues regarding auto damage team processes and proceduresReview and evaluate auto damage claims, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and proceduresFoster a cooperative environment and empower individuals by supporting an open forum for innovation, change, growth, and sharing of knowledge and skillsConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for Claims AdjustersMonitor claim activities, identify trends or areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance claims handling efficiency and customer satisfactionMaintain a strong working knowledge of insurance regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimal claims managementUse established monitoring systems to QA, monitor, and evaluate performanceGenerate appropriate action plans to enhance and improve performance of under-performing representativesEffectively use reward and recognition tools to drive business results and associate satisfactionIdentify and implement strategies that will enhance the customer experience and improve productivity and performanceQualificationsWhat makes you a dream candidate?Knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry, to include advanced understanding of personal lines auto claimsKnowledge surrounding common industry claims systems and vendor products (ex Guidewire, Copart, ARMs, ISO, etc.)Must have a passion for providing outstanding Customer ServicePossess strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence others, develop team members, and manage change and conflictExcellent oral and written communication skills and proven interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with customers and employees at all levels within the organizationDemonstrated ability to link specific activities to desired resultsStrong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims settlement proceduresAbility to thrive in a collaborative environment with an eagerness to share ideas and support othersEffective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess liability and coverage accuratelyAttention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentThe ability to be resilient, bounce back from setbacks, and keep pushing forward with a positive attitude ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred5+ years of auto claims handling experience required3+ years of customer service experience requiredPrevious total loss and/or coverage and liability leadership experience preferredPrior experience in coaching, training, and/or mentoring individuals preferred LicensesMust obtain, hold and maintain a current Property and Casualty (P&C) or Personal Lines License in at least (1) US State requiredInsurance designation (CPCU, SCLA, etc.) preferred What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.Our Culture: Our team members define and shape our culture — an environment that welcomes innovative ideas, fosters integrity, and creates a sense of community and belonging. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education.This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
