Position Location: Remote, EST
Who are you?

Security-cleared Professional:
You are able to obtain and maintain a government issued public trust clearance.
Education

A Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate degree in a related field is preferred with 3-6 years of experience.
Experience

Experience with FISMA and NIST policies and procedures. Experience with maintaining security and compliance initiatives. Experience with supporting cyber security audits. Familiar with Tenable Nessus, ACAS, HBSS or other related systems.
Certifications

Either a Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, GCIA, CISM, CISA or another certification that is equivalent.
Core Responsibilities
• Provides knowledge and audit support.
• Supports the internal audit workflow in providing responses to the auditor’s PBC (Provided by Client) requests, ensuring requests are satisfied within requested deadlines, and participating in requested demonstrations.
• Provides daily/weekly account monitoring to address the objectives for analysis and reporting on account discrepancies, and account approvals and deletions.
• Creates procedural documentation for FISMA support activities and account monitoring.
Preferred Experience
• Proficiency in coordinating and responding to audit requests, including preparing documentation and evidence to satisfy auditor requirements within deadlines.
• Experience in conducting internal control assessments and addressing deficiencies related to cybersecurity audits.
• Familiarity with audit frameworks and methodologies, such as OMB A-123, FISMA, and NIST SP 800-53, to ensure compliance with federal standards.
• Advanced knowledge of tools like Tenable Nessus, ACAS, or HBSS for vulnerability scanning and reporting to support audit activities.
• Experience in drafting and maintaining procedural documentation for audit workflows, including account monitoring and compliance reporting.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve account discrepancies, including unauthorized access or configuration changes.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate demonstrations and walkthroughs for auditors.
• Familiarity with Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) management to track and remediate audit findings effectively.
• Experience in preparing audit readiness reports and metrics for management review and decision-making.
• Strong communication skills to present audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
