About the Role:
As an Educational Audiologist, you will play a vital role in helping students with hearing loss succeed in school by identifying hearing issues, recommending accommodations, and collaborating with educators and families. This is a highly impactful position that bridges health and education to ensure students receive the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct hearing assessments and evaluations for students
• Recommend and support amplification devices and classroom accommodations
• Work with IEP teams to provide input and develop appropriate services and goals
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and speech-language pathologists to ensure auditory access to learning
• Provide training to school staff on hearing loss and assistive technologies
Required Qualifications:
• Doctorate or Master’s degree in Audiology
• Valid New Mexico Audiologist license
• ASHA Certification (CCC-A) preferred
• Experience working with school-age populations is a plus
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
