Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOwl Labs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing advanced audio signal processing algorithms for our cutting-edge communications and conferencing products.WHAT YOU'LL DODesign and implement state-of-the-art audio signal processing algorithms for real-time communication systemsDevelop and optimize audio enhancement features such as noise reduction, echo cancellation, and voice activity detection using both analytic and AI techniquesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio processing solutions into our product ecosystemConduct research on emerging audio technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve product performanceAnalyze and troubleshoot complex audio-related issues in existing productsQUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred)EXPERIENCE5+ years of experience in DSP and audio signal processing, preferably in the conferencing, communications, and/or pro audio industryStrong expertise in digital signal processing techniques, particularly those applicable to voice and audio Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ programming and optimization for embedded systemsExperience with audio coding standards and wireless audio technologiesSKILLSExperience with real-time audio processing and low-latency systemsFamiliarity with audio codecs, internet audio protocols, and relevant industry standardsDemonstrated ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into efficient, production-ready codeExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsPassion for creating high-quality, innovative audio solutionsAdaptability to rapidly changing technology landscapesStrong communication abilities, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamExperience with audio testing and measurement tools is a bonusWHAT WE OFFERFully paid medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for you and your dependentsUnlimited PTOGenerous Parental Leave Work From Home StipendCommuter BenefitFlexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid setting (based on location)15 Paid HolidaysOwl Labs is a hybrid company, we are over 40% remote, and our headquarters is based in Boston, MA.
