Attorney – CA Licensed | Commercial Collections & Investigations (Part-Time/Contract)

We are looking for a California-licensed attorney to join our team on a part-time, remote basis, with an immediate start. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a diverse caseload focusing primarily on:

Commercial Collections: Pursuing collections from small business tenants who have breached commercial lease agreements, including addressing liquidated damages provisions. This will involve strategic preparation of demand letters aimed at achieving pre-litigation settlements.

Litigation Support: Providing legal expertise and representation in various disputes, including the initial review of existing case materials and participation in court appearances.

Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and prepare comprehensive demand letters designed to facilitate out-of-court settlements.
• Review legal documents and case files to assess claims and develop legal strategies.
• Represent our interests in court proceedings, primarily via video appearances, in accordance with standard practice.
• Collaborate with our team, including a live assistant who can attend court in person if required.
• Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance on collection matters and potential litigation.

Qualifications:
• Must hold an active and in good standing California Bar license.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial collections, contract law, and/or civil litigation.
• Proficiency and comfort with virtual court appearances.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• A strong ethical compass and commitment to professional standards

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
