Associate Relations Partner - Remote in Ontario/Atlantic Canada
What is an Associate Relations Partner?This role is responsible for providing guidance and assistance to Associates and Managers within the organization on Associate Relations matters.What will you be doing?Acts as a business partner to support and guide Managers and Senior Leaders in person or virtual as needed on Associate Relations mattersProvides advice and counsel to managers and senior leaders on performance management, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, investigation outcomes, and attendance management and return to work processesAdvises Managers on disciplinary and/or termination situationsProvides advice and counsel to managers and senior leaders on GoodLife’s internal policies and provincial Employment Standards legislation and interpretation, including proper administration for all provincesProduces letters and other documentation for Associate disciplinary issues, termination, accommodations, and other situations as requiredSupports and guides Associates in person or virtual as neededResponds to Associate questions and assisting with work-related concerns, workplace accommodation requests, safety concerns and other situationsAttends clubs or offices in person as neededSubject Matter Expert in employment relations mattersActs as the main resource and subject-matter expert for all Human Resources legislation and interpretationEnsures compliance with all provincial employment standards legislation and works with Managers to update related policies and processes as the need arisesFacilitates virtual and in-person seminars and trainings for all levels of management on various Human Resource and employment law topics such as the Employment Standards Act, the importance of enforceable contracts, progressive discipline and terminationsCompletes various reports for tracking of terminations, leaves, resignations accommodations, etc. as requiredInputs data into various tracking tools on a weekly/monthly basisWorks with GoodLife’s Legal team as necessary to obtain clarity and/or direction on legal employment mattersUtilize Associate Information System (AIS) on a regular basis in order to review Associate data, approving transactions for changes as neededParticipation in various projects related to employment law and AssociatesOther duties as requiredDo you have what it takes?Some college or university in Human Resources field1+ years in Employee Relations and/or Human Resources roleWorking toward CHRP or equivalentExperience using Microsoft Office Suite What's in it for you?Ongoing training and development to ensure a long and successful career pathCareer advancement opportunitiesCompetitive Total Rewards PackageFREE Fitness membershipFun and energetic atmosphere to come to every day!At GoodLife Fitness, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees & members feel valued, respected & supported. This position is eligible for bonuses in addition to the base salary.
