Associate Product Designer – Kids & Partnerships Home Team

They are seeking an Associate Product Designer to support the kids and partnership home business by driving product design strategy and development, focusing on home textiles and ensuring brand cohesion. Responsibilities Support Home Owned Brand Product Design and Development with direction from design leaders to achieve overall product design strategy and merchant objectives Maintain a diligent and self-directed approach to workload, and provide accurate and timely communication to internal and external partners Support the team in product/trend research, trend concepts, product vignettes, color, and design/development of products Assist the team in preparing product specs, and developing trim, print, and embellishment packages Translate ideas using CAD/hand sketches, including completing design/technical sketches and professional presentation boards/materials for meetings and vendor partners Work closely with the Technical Design department to communicate fit and construction details Skills Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art, or similar area of study, or equivalent experience 1-3 years of experience Computer design system skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop Experience in CAD illustration or 2D/3D software Interest in AI design skills Ability to stay aware of Trends and Fashion Understanding of textiles or raw materials & product production Experience assimilating product feedback Ability to research and apply market/trend information Ability to build strong partnerships in order to successfully work in a team environment Benefits Comprehensive health benefits and programs Medical Vision Dental Life insurance 401(k) Employee discount Short term disability Long term disability Paid sick leave Paid national holidays Paid vacation Company Overview Target is a retailing company providing access to a wide selection of products such as furniture, electronics, toys, and others.
