We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Associate Network Security Engineer to join our Information Technology division. Position Overview

As an Associate Network Security Engineer – IT Data Security at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure that protects our organization's critical applications, data, and communications systems. You will provide essential technical support and expertise to ensure the functional sustainability of our network security environment, which supports our operations, partners, vendors, and millions of customers who rely on our services every day.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our IT Information Security Organization Security Team, you will be responsible for the following:


Network Security Infrastructure Support: Provide comprehensive IT support to secure internal, partner, vendor, and external connectivity to organization applications across multiple critical data center infrastructures. Your expertise will ensure robust protection of our network perimeter and maintain the integrity of our communication channels.

Firewall Management: Oversee firewall hardware and software maintenance, including site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, preventive maintenance, and break/fix services in data center critical infrastructure. You will ensure our firewall systems are operating at peak efficiency and compliance standards.

Enterprise Remote Access Security: Support enterprise remote access clients by aligning our client edge security technology with client-based agent workstations. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology including Application ID and User ID for granular user identification and access control.

Airport Operations Support: Provide IT support for airport operations mobile network deployment, Netmotion, hardware, and software maintenance. This includes site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, preventive maintenance, and break/fix services in data center critical infrastructure supporting our operational facilities.

Security Policy Development: Collaborate with business divisions through consultation services responsible for firewall policies and access control direction. You will contribute to developing and implementing departmental policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures that ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

On-Call Support: Provide functional on-call support of critical offices and infrastructure components for Network Security. This includes ensuring enterprise applications and customer services remain available at our 99.999% Service Level Agreement (SLA) through proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.

Data Integrity and Continuity: Support the IT Information Security Division in maintaining the integrity and business continuity of enterprise data and applications. Your work will directly impact our ability to serve customers reliably and efficiently.

Project Management: Lead project management of data center and remote communication room infrastructure capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements. You will ensure accurate documentation, obtain the best product and service pricing, and guarantee that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations.


Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following minimum qualifications:


Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field is required.

Self-Motivation: Must be a self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and guidance while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.

Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols is essential. Knowledge of cloud networking and security principles is also highly valued.

System Administration Skills: Experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure both on-premises and in cloud environments.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to security tools and their integration with various systems.

Monitoring and Security Analysis: Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing security logs and events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities before they impact operations.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with end-users, understand their requirements, and provide appropriate technical support and guidance.

Vendor Relationship Management: Ability to collaborate with cloud service providers and ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and maintained.

Adaptability: Flexibility to support operations with changing shifts, extended hours, and dynamic work requirements.

Written and Verbal Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document procedures, communicate with stakeholders, and present technical information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

While the following are not required, they would be considered a plus:


Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA Security, or similar industry-recognized credentials
Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools
Knowledge of compliance frameworks including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2
Experience in the transportation or aviation industry
Understanding of zero-trust security architecture principles
Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
