(Associate) Model Office Analyst - 1133

Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York is a leading provider of life insurance and financial services. They are seeking a Model Office Analyst to develop and execute comprehensive test plans for software packages and assist in the analysis and resolution of system issues.ResponsibilitiesCreate and execute general comprehensive test plansSet up appropriate test cases and identify and document all necessary test scenarios with details of expected resultsDocument actual test results against expected results. Research and document reasons for discrepanciesCommunicate with department management to provide input for necessary changes during testingAdminister general testing of program sections and Word documents including creation of text plans, manual generation of policies and resolution of various printing, programming and generation issuesAnalyze and assist management with development to functional specifications for Company systemsAssist management with suggestions and alternative methods for accomplishing requestsExecute general systematic corrections to resolve policy issuesAssist management with investigation and resolution of system issuesCreate more in-depth comprehensive test plans and set up appropriate test casesCoordinate with business units and programmers to analyze and develop functional specifications for Company systemsDesign specifications for new computer programs or upgradesProvide suggestions and alternative methods to management for accomplishing requestsExecute complex systematic corrections to resolve policy issuesInvestigate and resolve reported application system issuesSkillsMinimum of 1 year in life insurance administration experience requiredAdvanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite requiredStrong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesStrong organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to take care of both internal and external customer needsAbility to pay close attention to detailAdaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environmentsAbility to prioritize and organize a heavy workloadAbility to work a regular schedule required.
