How do I get started on Talkspace? Upload your malpractice insurance, license, signed supervisor agreement and NPI information; pass a background check; sign your platform agreement and upload your headshot. You can become a Talkspace therapist in just 1-2 days. Requirements: To participate in the Talkspace clinical network, all therapists and counselors are required to possess the following: • Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other Behavioral Science • Current conditional (associate) licensure • A current state-approved supervising clinician and/or organization • Individual Professional malpractice liability insurance policy • Submission of a fully completed, signed CAQH application • Reliable internet connection • Completed background check Note: Talkspace associate therapists and counselors only work with clients in the state(s) where they hold associate licensure and are allowed to practice.
