Job Description Summary
The Associate Manager, Insights and Competitive Intelligence is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating strategic insights and competitive intelligence to support business decision-making. This role involves monitoring industry trends, assessing competitor activities, and providing actionable intelligence that informs product strategy, marketing, and sales initiatives. The Specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure alignment and support the company’s strategic objectives.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Competitive Intelligence Gathering: Conduct ongoing surveillance of the competitive landscape, monitoring competitor activities, product launches, market strategies, and industry developments.
• Market Insights Analysis: Analyze data from various sources (market research, sales data, industry reports) to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats that could impact the business.
• Strategic Reporting: Create and deliver detailed intelligence reports, including SWOT analyses, competitor benchmarking, and market trend assessments, to inform strategic planning and product development.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, R&D, and other teams to share insights and ensure that competitive intelligence is integrated into broader business strategies.
• Data Collection and Research: Utilize both primary and secondary research methods to gather data from diverse sources, including databases, industry publications, and conferences.
• Support Product Strategy: Provide insights that help shape product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies, ensuring competitive differentiation.
• Maintain Intelligence Database: Develop and maintain a centralized database of competitive intelligence information, ensuring it is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Trend Monitoring: Track and report on emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and market shifts that could affect the company’s strategic direction.
• Ad-Hoc Research Projects: Support the insights team on special projects, delivering quick-turnaround insights as needed.

Key Capabilities:
• Ability to gather and synthesize information from diverse sources including market research reports, competitor news, publications and industry events/forums.
• Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and translate complex data into insights
• Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Experience with competitive intelligence, data and research tools such as databases (IQVIA, Datamonitor), market research platforms.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies including competitive benchmarking and trend analysis.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-4+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or strategic insights, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Proven track record of delivering actionable insights that influence business strategy.
• Experience in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $84,800.00-$127,200.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
