Associate Manager – In-Store Customer Experience Strategy & Operations (Growth, Loyalty & Innovation)

Remote Full-time
About arenaflex & the In‑Store Experience Team
arenaflex is a leading technology and logistics platform that started by connecting people with food, and has since expanded to become the go‑to destination for a full spectrum of goods and experiences. Our mission is to empower local economies by giving merchants, drivers, and consumers the tools they need to thrive in a hyper‑connected world.
Within arenaflex, the Going Out initiative is a fast‑growing, high‑impact product line that drives customers from the arenaflex app into physical retail locations. By blending digital discovery with real‑world experiences—exclusive discounts, VIP perks, reservations, and seamless payments—we’re redefining how consumers interact with brick‑and‑mortar businesses. The In‑Store Experience team works like a startup inside a larger organization: agile, data‑driven, and relentlessly focused on creating memorable, repeatable moments for our users.

Why This Role Matters
As the Strategy & Operations Associate Manager, Customer Experience, you will be at the heart of arenaflex’s nationwide rollout of the Going Out product. You’ll own the end‑to‑end customer journey, shape the go‑to‑market strategy, and partner with cross‑functional teams to turn insights into action. This is a rare opportunity to launch a brand‑new consumer‑facing experience at scale, influence product direction, and directly impact revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Journey Architecture: Map, analyze, and continuously improve the full lifecycle of a customer—from discovery in the arenaflex app to in‑store activation, repeat visits, and loyalty.
Go‑to‑Market Strategy: Define and execute the strategic roadmap for customer acquisition, activation, retention, and frequency across all regions as we expand nationally.
Experimentation & Testing: Design, scope, and run A/B tests, pilots, and proof‑of‑concept experiments covering activation funnels, promotional offers, and new feature concepts.
Data‑Driven Decision Making: Build predictive and diagnostic models in Excel (and SQL when needed) to measure experiment outcomes, forecast growth, and set performance targets.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner daily with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Merchants to align on objectives, share insights, and drive execution.
Customer Research: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research—including surveys, interviews, and usability testing—to surface pain points and opportunities.
Communication & Enablement: Translate strategic plans into clear, actionable communication for internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring consistent messaging and brand experience.
Performance Reporting: Produce regular dashboards and executive briefings that highlight key metrics such as in‑app conversion, monthly retention, order frequency, and revenue impact.

Essential Qualifications

4+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business development, high‑growth tech, or investment banking with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross‑functional projects from concept through implementation, influencing senior leadership and front‑line teams alike.
Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling). Familiarity with SQL is a plus.
Proven experience translating high‑level business goals into detailed, executable plans and measurable action items.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft clear narratives for diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience launching or scaling consumer‑facing products in a startup or high‑velocity environment.
Background in retail, hospitality, or consumer loyalty programs, providing insight into in‑store dynamics.
Hands‑on experience with A/B testing frameworks, product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude), or BI platforms.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.

Core Skills & Competencies

Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture while drilling down into tactical details.
Problem Solving: Comfortable tackling ambiguous challenges and iterating until a solution is found.
Leadership & Influence: Inspire confidence, rally teams, and drive alignment without direct authority.
Customer‑Centric Mindset: Deep empathy for the end‑user, translating insights into delightful experiences.
Data Literacy: Comfortable interpreting large data sets, identifying trends, and making evidence‑based recommendations.
Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑moving, constantly evolving environment where priorities shift rapidly.
