Associate Manager, Fund Finance & Operations

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor daily trading and margin reporting provided by the fund administrator, prime
brokers, and trading counterparties
Conduct ad hoc research across multiple industries including but not limited to life sciences, joint ventures, and real estate
Perform financial and operational analyses to evaluate new and existing investment opportunities
Support Tang Capital portfolio companies in strategic finance initiatives and operational improvements
Perform complex investment analysis and report findings/suggestions to executive leadership
Assist with various fund operations, financial analysis, and treasury processes, including daily cash management, budgeting, forecasting, valuations and FX hedging
Serve as a business analyst to identify and implement software system improvements and
automation projects to accommodate growing business strategy complexities
Prepare/ analyze various weekly, monthly, and quarterly investor reports
Respond to ad hoc investor data requests and day-to-day investor inquiries
Assist with preparing, reviewing fund models
Represent Operations to other groups throughout the firm, such as the Investment
Committee and Technology, on topics ranging from liquidity to fund formation to NAV
review automation
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years of experience either coming for national public accounting firm (with alternative investment clients) or accounting/finance from a competitor
