We have raised over $50M from leading investors like Sequoia, Index, and Khosla Ventures.We’re looking for an indirect tax team member who cares about working with customers on simplifying complex problems and building and scaling great processes. You will be involved in helping Anrok execute and build key processes around US & international tax compliance.In this role, you willDrive engagement between Anrok’s Legal, Finance, and Tax (LFT) and Engineering teams to develop further and build out Anrok’s international indirect tax platform. Specifically:Research and documentation of taxability determinations, tax rates, and compliance requirementsDriving the preparation and filing of tax returns for customersEngage with third-party accounting partners on internal research projects and engage them in the platformEngage with Anrok customers to help support them through onboarding and simplifying complex tax questions for themHelp to support analysis and direction for ad hoc projects related to international and US taxesWhat does a typical week look like?Assist with research on US & International tax matters and regulatory changesAnalyze tax implications of new business activities and product featuresSupport Product Tax Code research and validationAssist with registration and compliance researchRespond to tax technical questions from internal teamsSupport customer-facing teams with tax guidanceAssist with customer onboarding and activation questionsContribute to knowledge base developmentWhat excites usYou have a strong background with 2-5 years of experience in indirect tax (nice to have if international VAT experience), including researching technical issues, as well as the registration and returns processesYou enjoy engaging with customers and walking them through tax technical processes in a clear and thoughtful mannerYou have some exposure to other indirect tax regimes and compliance processesYou love solving problems and always push for change and improvementYou have an entrepreneurial attitude and passion to build a business from the ground upStrong written and verbal skills paired with a solutions-oriented approach to customersWhat we offerThe equity upside of an early-stage startup with the product-market fit of a later-stage company.Daily lunch and snacks for those working out of our San Francisco office.Medical, dental, and vision insurance covered 100%.One Medical membership covered, flexible sick benefits, and more.Annual learning and development stipend for books, online courses, and conferences, as well as a curious team to share your learnings with.Annual team offsites and in-person opportunities around our growing Anrok hubs.Home office setup stipend to ensure you have the equipment you need to thrive at work.For employees based in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City and Salt Lake City we follow a hybrid model.
