Position: Associate Editor, Practical Law (Middle East) # • * Our Privacy Statement & Cookie Policy • * Associate Editor, Practical Law (Middle East) page is loaded## Associate Editor, Practical Law (Middle East) remote type: Remote Job: Hybrid locations: ARE-Dubai-Dubai Media Citytime type: Full time posted on: Posted Todayjob requisition : JREQ 194841 As an Associate Editor in Practical Law Middle East, you will work in conjunction with more experienced colleagues to interpret and explain United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabian legal, practice and market developments to our customers through online content. • * About the Role • * In this opportunity as Associate Editor, you will: • Monitor and identify developments to cover in Thomson Reuters’ AI powered legal solutions offering. • With support and supervision from colleagues draft new content for online publication. • Conduct research projects and present results with proper analysis and in a succinct manner. • With support and supervision from colleagues, maintain content to ensure that it is up-to-date and reflects current legal and market practice, and is of the quality and scope that meets business objectives and customer needs. • Provide support to the Practical Law editorial teams. • Attend training events, conferences and talks and otherwise network with customers and potential customers and with industry leaders. • Help with the development of Thomson Reuter’s legal solutions. • Use your legal expertise and editorial skills to support the development and application of internal AI editorial tools. • * About You • * You’re a fit for the role of Associate Editor if you have the following required qualifications: • At least two years’ experience as a paralegal in the UAE with a good understanding of UAE law and legal process. • Business level written and spoken English and Arabic. • Excellent writing and communication skills. • Able to work independently and as part of a team. • Able to work to deadlines and able to prioritise and manage own workload. • Able to assimilate and apply new complex information. • Excellent attention to detail. • Comfortable with technology and able to adapt to new technology quickly including within the generative AI space as well as new and emerging technologies. • A curious mindset, including about the increasing intersection of AI and legal practice.## Desirable Skills and Experience: • Previous experience working in a Legal/Publishing environment, using technology to create and disseminate online content. • Previous experience of working on Saudi Arabian legal matters.## Education/ Certifications Required: • Undergraduate Law Degree#LI-AB3 • ** Hybrid Work Model: • * We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week in the office depending on the role) for our office-based roles while delivering a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected. • ** Flexibility & Work-Life Balance: • * Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset.
