Associate Director of Content Strategy

Likeable is searching for a strategic and innovative Associate Director of Content Strategy. This role will support and grow our agency’s content strategy team and help develop and execute high-impact concepts and content strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and business results for our clients. Managing a team of content strategists, you will collaborate closely with account managers, creative teams, strategists, and clients to craft compelling, insight-driven content. Your expertise in digital storytelling, audience behavior, and platform trends will play a key role in shaping our content marketing approach. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities: • Support the development and execution of comprehensive concepts that align with client objectives, target audiences, and brand messaging. Partner with the Strategy team to ensure content initiatives are data-driven, performance-focused, and aligned with overarching strategic goals. • Conduct thorough research and competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities for content differentiation. • Optimize content performance in partnership with the Strategy department to maximize reach, engagement, and conversions. • Develop and present a weekly Trends session with the agency regarding industry trends, emerging platforms, and content marketing best practices to continually improve content strategies and deliver innovative solutions. • Present content strategies and concept decks to clients, fostering strong client relationships. • Support the agency’s communications content strategy, including newsletter content, blog and social media content. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, account managers, and creative teams to develop and refine content briefs and creative concepts. • In partnership with Creative Leads: Partner on creating strategic concepts. Ensure best processes are supported to maintain content quality and efficiency. • In partnership with Strategy Leads: Meet regularly to discuss content trends and performance insights derived from reporting. Integrate strategic learnings into future concept decks. • In partnership with Account Leads: Align content strategy with broader client objectives and campaign goals. Provide insights and recommendations to ensure content delivers on key business objectives. Act as a key point of contact for content-related discussions and client needs. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field. • 8+ years of experience in social media content strategy, digital marketing, or a related field, preferably within an agency environment. • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content marketing, and digital trends. • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing successful content strategies that drive business results. • Proficient in using analytics tools to measure and optimize content performance. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and results-oriented approach. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable, with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
